Electronic sports, although a relatively new branch, shows an exceptional growth rate and global presence. In Bosnia and Herzegovina, the esports community is experiencing increasing success on the international scene. According to data from the Esports Earnings platform, esports players from Bosnia and Herzegovina have so far won more than 3,5 million US dollars in 627 tournaments. The most successful among them is Nikola "NiKo" Kovač, who alone earned over 1,6 million dollars, mostly competing in the game Counter-Strike 2 (CS:GO) .
By joining the associate membership of the BiH Olympic Committee, the BiH Esports Association gains additional strength to continue with its goals - building a solid esports infrastructure, creating better conditions for training and competition, and actively involving young people in modern forms of sports expression.
This cooperation opens the door to new possibilities for the development of sports in the digital age and sends a clear message that Bosnia and Herzegovina follows modern sports trends and is ready to support innovations that bring together new generations of athletes.
