PUBG: Black Budget – A new era of extraction shooter comes with mystery, anomalies and time loop

PUBG Studios has finally officially unveiled its new game PUBG: Black Budget, tactical first person extraction shooter that takes the franchise in a completely different direction. Instead of the classic battle royale formula, Black Budget focuses on survival, exploration, infiltration and extraction, with a strong narrative component and an atmosphere charged with suspense.

With mystery, a time loop, and a dangerous anomaly that reshapes the terrain, Black Budget already promises to be one of the most ambitious projects in the genre.

Closed Alpha Test – Dates, Regions, and Access

Closed alpha will be available exclusively via Steam in two separate sessions:

• December 12–14
• December 19–21

The test will be open to players from:

• Europe
• North America
• Asia

During this period the game will support only FPP, and access is obtained exclusively through Steam login or via Twitch drops award during official streams. Supported languages ​​in the alpha are English, Korean, Russian, and Simplified Chinese.

A game set on an island stuck in a time loop

Black Budget takes us to an isolated island shrouded in mystery, engulfed in supernatural anomaly and trapped in time loop. The player is the Contractor, an operative working for the secret organization SAPIENS, tasked with collecting artifacts, uncovering secrets and surviving in deadly conditions.

During each mission, the island behaves differently: the landscape changes, the anomaly is activated in different ways, and the map structure itself forces players to constantly adjust their strategy.

2,5 × 2,5 km map – small in area, huge in intensity

Although the dimensions of the map may not sound huge, the developer emphasizes that the focus is on dense, detailed and vertical structure.
Players will explore:

• abandoned villages
• underground facilities and bunkers
• military installations
• zones surrounded by anomaly
• unnaturally transformed parts of the terrain

The anomaly slowly narrows the playable area and affects the behavior of the environment, creating a constant threat and a pace that does not allow for relaxation.

Gameplay focused on risk, reward and smart decisions

Black Budget is a classic PvPvE extraction shooter, which means:

Each mission lasts until 30 minutes, combining combat, stealth, exploration, resource management, and tough decision-making. Three rival factions and a base system
