The first event was held on the grounds of Slovenska plaža in Budva. Phygital Basketball Origins qualifying tournament for placement at the Games of the Future 2026, within the BSAFF sports film festival. The team won the title OG-Unit from Bar, current champions who once again justified their role as favorites in a combination of virtual and real basketball.
In the competition of eight teams, the final between OG-Unit and Dangerous brought real sports drama. After a victory in NBA2K25 (19:17) and a draw on the court (10:10), the Rams celebrated with a total score of 29:27.
Phygital format, which combines NBA2K25 and basketball 2×2, attracted the attention of the audience and showed the potential to become the sport of the future.
The next qualifying tournament is scheduled for October 19th in Podgorica, while the grand final will be held in January in Bar. The best Montenegrin team will ensure placement on Games of the Future 2026 in Astana.
