At least it will host again at the end of January. Game Pit, an event that brings together programmers, designers, artists and video game fans with the goal of developing a completely new game in a limited time. The organizer is the Electronic Sports Association of Montenegro, and the event is part of a global initiative that takes place around the world.
During 48 hours, participants work in teams to design and create a game on a topic that is revealed only at the beginning of the event. It is this element of uncertainty, together with the short deadline, that is a real test of creative thinking, teamwork and ability to solve problems under pressure.
Game Jam is not intended exclusively as a competition, but also as a space for learning, knowledge exchange and networking. Many participants continue to develop their projects after the event, turning them into serious prototypes or commercial products.
The organizers point out that such events play an important role in the development of the local gaming and IT community, and in motivating young people to get involved in the creative and technological industries.
