by Esports in Bosnia and Herzegovina will enter a new phase in 2025, not only as a rapidly growing digital discipline, but also as a symbol of inclusion and social equality. The biggest breakthrough happened thanks to the athlete Igor Koler, which became an inspiration to the entire region.
Koler – a pioneer of inclusion in Esports
As stated in the official bulletin of the BiH Olympic Committee (May/June 2025), Igor Koler became the first person with a disability from Bosnia and Herzegovina last year. who participated in Mediterranean Games in Esport. His participation and high seventh place were much more than a sports result, they became a message about the power of will and equal opportunities.

In 2025, Koler's achievement will also receive institutional recognition. Esports Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced the organization of the international esports tournament in the Municipality of Novo Sarajevo, which will have a dual purpose, i.e. promotion of equality and inclusion, and recognition of Igor Koler.
Tournament in honor of diversity
According to the Federation's announcement, the tournament will bring together esports players from the region and beyond, and will be dedicated to the promotion of equal opportunities for competition, regardless of physical abilities. This will be the first time BiH will organize on home soil inclusive esports event which connects competitive spirit and social responsibility.
In the announcement published in the official newsletter of OK BiH, it is stated:
The tournament will be an opportunity to recognize Igor and his contributions to sports and society.
The year 2025 marks a turning point for esports in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as esports is increasingly developing as an area of equal opportunities. Through the announced tournament and institutional support for athletes like Igor Koler, Bosnia and Herzegovina shows that esports can be more than a game - it can be an instrument for social change.
