The third act of Fall of the Crown in dota 2 is full of mini-games, even compared to the previous acts. There are games like "street fighter" and "bullet hell", but the game that causes the most problems for everyone is "Dragon Chess".
This game is something like the “Candy Crash” game played by mothers around the world. The point is to connect gems of the same color (minimum 3) in order to damage the opponent. At the same time you receive massive damage and are subjected to various effects such as flats, inability to recover health or merge games and the like.
Each linked gem does one point of damage to the opponent. To progress further you need to eliminate the current opponent. Every fourth round is a free recovery of 300 hit points. If you connect 4 or 5+ gems of the same color, you will make a game in the form of a spell. There are 6 heroes and game colors and each of them has 2 spells. One of 4 and the other of 5+ connected games. It is very important to make as many spells of various heroes as possible. It is ideal to constantly make the same heroes like wenge which have a lump effect and allow you to do a lot of damage and thus collect a large amount of points.
Heroes and their spells:
Lina: 4 give the same "Dragon Slave" which does 20 DMG; 5+ of the same gives "Light Strike Array" which lands the opponent for 5 seconds and does 25 DMG
Mother-in-law: 4 give the same "Insatiable Hunger" which gives you 200% lifesteal effect for 10 seconds; 5+ of the same gives "Spawn Spiderlings" which converts 12 randomly selected gems into this hero's gems.
Crystal: 4 give the same "Crystal Nova" which destroys all surrounding gems and does 10 DMG (slow is irrelevant); 5+ give the same "Freezing Field" which fires 30 ice bullets over 10 seconds and destroys randomly selected gems.
Lich: 4 give the same "Frost Blast" which destroys all surrounding gems and does 15 DMG; 5+ give the same "Chain Frost" which bounces 12 times and does 15 DMG each time.
Venga: 4 give the same "Magic Missile" which deals 20 DMG and flattens the opponent for 2 seconds; 5+ give the same "Nether Swap" which turns 50% of other games into venga games.
Winter: 4 give the same "Splinter Blast" which does 15 DMG and destroys 4 random gems; 5+ give the same "Cold Embrace" which blocks all physical DMG for 8 seconds and heals you for 150 hit points.
I managed to score over 40,000 points just by forcing vengen gems that constantly spawn new vengen gems and thus do massive damage.
If these types are not enough to win, then it's time to take the next step:
Slow down the game
- Enable the in-game console
- Go to the Dota 2 folder in your Steam library
- Click on Properties
- Add “-Console” in startup options
- Open Dota 2 and assign the “Console” button to the option
2. Open dota and start a game of Dragon Chess
3. Immediately pause the game and open the console
4. Type the “host_timescale” command to slow down the game. It is ideal to slow down to 0.10 speed.
This is the secret formula to consistently and easily score over 40,000 points in the Dragon Chess game. Although 5,000 points is enough to progress with the main story, you certainly don't want to miss out on all those free tokens, and don't be afraid to try a console trick!
